He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Gentry and Annie Gladys Gentry (Brown); and his mother-in-law Devona Smallman. He is survived by: his wife Sue Gentry; his sons, Jason Scott Gentry (Amy) and Barry Lee Gentry; his granddaughters, Chloë Anne-Alis Legereit and Jaime Lynn Lily Gentry; and his siblings, Bob Gentry (Jane Ann), John Gentry (Lesli) and Bette Lange (Jerry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given in Gary's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
