She was predeceased by: her parents, Chris Pennell and Frankie Pennell (Kilgore); her husband Lester Lewis Jr; her grandson Clint Kirkland; and her siblings, Geraldine Pennell, Troy Sherman Pennell and Roy Herman Pennell.
She is survived by: her children, Leslie Lewis Flippin (Jim), Connie Kirkland and David Lewis; her daughter-in-law Kathleen Foss Cohoon; her grandchildren, Cindy Flippin Patterson, Candy Flippin Tyra, Brandon Lewis and Jessie Lewis; her great grandchildren, Taylor Elizabeth Patterson, Reid Patterson, Hunter Patterson, Walker Jay Patterson, Lucy Helton Tyra, John Trotman Tyra, Davison Tyra, Mary Leslie Tyra and Austin Kirkland; and her sisters, Imogene Gill and Wanda Lee Shadowens. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
