It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorris Penrod (Metropolis, Illinois), born in Cypress, Illinois, who passed away on October 21, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Penrod and Ruth Turner Penrod; his parents-in-law, Bill of Cypress, Illinois and Kathryn Racey (Hutchcraft) of Cypress, Illinois; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Williams (Russel), Nancy Merideth and John Racey.
He is survived by: his spouse Miss Judy Racey; his grandchildren, Paige Penrod Staton (Scott) of Decatur, IL, Adam Penrod (Shelby) of Benton, KY, Emily Penrod of Metropolis, IL and Micca Penrod of Metropolis, IL; his great grandchildren, Korbin Staton (Katie Harris) of Decatur, Kasin Staton of Decatur, Koltin Staton of Decatur, Kaylin Staton of Decatur and Keelan Penrod of Benton, KY; his brother-in-law Joe Racey of Jacksonville, IL; and his friend Danny Penrod of Cypress, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
