He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Sexton and Margaret Sexton (Betty M. Sexton); his brothers, Donald Sexton and Deon Sexton; his stepdaughter Terry Middleton; and his stepgrandchildren, Lisa Middleton and Eric Middleton.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph L. Sexton of Metropolis, Chester 'Chez L. Sexton (Carol) of Paducah and Rebecca L. Hyde (Donald Jr.) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Sarah Jo Cope, Darien Hyde, Savanna Sexton and Iris Sexton; his stepgrandchildren, James David Middleton, Kimberly Middleton, Kevin Middleton and Rob Smith; and his sisters, Delores Giltner (Charles) and Della Housewright. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, 12 step-great grandchildren and 1 step- great great grandchild.
