With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bert Yates of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on October 20, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Smallman and Devona Smallman; and her siblings, Mattie Farris, Liz Lowe and John Paul Smallman.
She is survived by: her husband Louis Yates; her children, Greg Neely (Carrie), Chad Yates and Lisa Eftink (Ron); her stepdaughter Stacey Yates; her grandchildren, Campbell Neely, Bennett Neely and Ronnie Eftink; her great grandchildren, Blayne Eftink and Brent Jennings; her stepgrandchildren, Lakin Sharp (Josh) and JD Ward (Madison Barger); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Josie, Cooper, Ava and Lane; and her sister Sue Gentry. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
