With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Ann Swenney of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on May 21, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Watts and Jean Watts; her husband Donald Swenney; her daughter Shelie Alder; and her siblings, Frances Shelby, Robert Watts and Gary Watts.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Matthew Hedden and Christina Hedden; her siblings, Brenda Anderson (Chuck) and Donnie Watts; and her aunt Dorothy West. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
