Barbara Stratemeyer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Stratemeyer of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on December 25, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Scott Wallace and Vida Wallace; her brothers, Kenneth Wallace and Ronald Wallace; her former husband James Jones; and her niece Claudette Wallace-Hume.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Jones (Pat) of Benton, KY, Karen Arnold of Metropolis, Judy McGinnis of Paducah and Sharon LaGore (Alvin) of Metropolis; and her grandchildren, Matthew Jones of Lexington, KY, Jessica Bowman (Josh) of Metropolis, Dillon Jones of Nashville, TN, Ashley Britton (Josh) of Metropolis, Megan Arnold of Metropolis and Brian LaGore (Jasmine) of Metropolis. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Those attending the service are reminded that customarily accepted social distancing guidelines are to be observed. The wearing of a face mask or covering are strongly encouraged.
