She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hughes and Ada Hughes of Newark, Ohio.; her niece Cheri Shields; her siblings-in-law, George and Carole Wells (Lingle); and her mother-in-law Birdie Lingle.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Lingle of Metropolis, IL; her sister Betty Shaufl (Bob) of Pinkerenton, OH; her children, Benita Yonosick (Jeff) of Metropolis, IL and Bart Lingle of Metropolis, IL; her grandson Sam Scott of Metropolis, IL; her nieces, Christy Rockwell (Brian) of Westerville, OH, Becky Rinn (Adam) of Mooresville, NC, Suzi Nelson (Tim) of Robinsdale, MN and Lori Eyre of Mt. Prospect, IL; and her nephew Roger Wells (Cheryl) of Cookeville, TN.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to COPE food pantry (P.O. box 761, Metropolis, IL, 62960) or Weekend Blessings (℅ First United Methodist Church, 100 East 5th Street, Metropolis, IL, 62960); both of which Barb cared for deeply and volunteered time and money towards in her life to ensure residents of Massac County, as well as their children, could have access to food when needed.
