She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Thomas and Mary Anna Story (Rudolph); her husband Odis L. Darnell; her son Odie Darnell; and her sisters, Betty Drake and Virgie Roberts.

She is survived by: her children, Darrell Darnell (Jennifer), Anna Darnell, Ronnie Darnell and Scott Darnell; her daughter-in-law Jetta Darnell; and her sisters, Mary Lou Stopa and Margie Wilson. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
