Willie Deford Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 15, 2019, at the age of 78, Willie Deford (Metamora, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert DeFord and Thelma DeFord (Diveley); and his sister Mary Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Joan Elbert; his children, Penny DeFord-Goff (Bob Emory) of Bushnell, Laurie Mirus of Hampshire and Russ DeFord (Becky) of Germantown Hills; his grandchildren, Courtney Goff (Tyler Earley) of East Peoria, Wren Goff (Rachael Rowe) of Mackinaw, Montana Mirus of Hampshire and Natalie DeFord of Germantown Hills; his great grandchildren, Cameron Kidd of Hampshire, Mariah Goff of Mackinaw and Alexis Schappaugh of Mackinaw; and his brother Jim DeFord (Mary) of Pekin.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Metamora Park District, P.O. Box 633, Metamora, IL 61548, for whom Willie spent many hours assembling playground equipment and helping maintain Black Partridge Park.
