It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherry L. Cannon of Metamora, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Red" Swearingen and Phyllis Swearingen (Bill); and her stepdaughter Julie Stein (Tom). She is survived by: her husband JC of Metamora; her son Bill "Butch" Koenig, Jr. (Lisa); her grandson Joseph Koenig of Germantown Hills, IL; her stepchildren, Jill Carey (Bryan) of Las Vegas, NV, Erin Schmidgall (Chris) of Valparaiso, IN, Mike Machlan of Decatur, IL and Ron Machlan of Ft. Myers, FL; and her stepgrandchildren, Christopher Stein (Sara), Sean Stein (Sloan), Justin, Jamie Carey, Charles and Jacy Schmidgall. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
