He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Bachman and Mattie Bachman (Reeser); his sisters, Ruth Gross and Minerva Reeb; his stepsiblings, Richard, Allan, Paul Bachman and Eileen Schertz; and his grandson-in-law Scott Weir.
He is survived by: his wife Ferne E. Imhoff; his children, Janet Shanks (Danny) of Washington and Keith Bachman (Susan) of Washington; his sister Orpha Schertz; his stepbrother John Bachman, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Doris Bachman. He is also survived by four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Snyder Village, 1200 East Partridge Street, Metamora, IL 61548 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
