He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Roberts and Anna Mae Roberts (Hulett); his wife Betty Petri; his son Steve Roberts of Eastvale; his stepsons, Paul Petri (Tammy) of Bedford and Dan Petri (Martha) of Davenport, Iowa.; his siblings, Russell of Bettendorf and Bobbie Benshoof of San Diego, CA.; his grandchildren, Bryce and Haddie Roberts; his stepgrandchildren, Emma, Sam Petri, Mallory and Cedar Petri; his nieces, Cathy Dorsett and Cindy Egan; and his nephew Matt Roberts.
