He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Michael and Gay Muriel Schierer (Stivers); his brother Richard W. Schierer of Schierer's Dairy; and his son Timothy L. Schierer. He is survived by: his children, Tama Schierer of Metamora, IL and Ted Schierer of Metamora, IL; his stepchildren, Karen Elbert (Ted Sundstrom) of Grand Rapids, MI, Dave Elbert (Sue) of Metamora and Ben Elbert (Kim) of Morton, IL; his stepgrandchildren, Jen (Brad), Jake, Mollie (Brian), Laura (Jon), Brett and Kellie (Max); and his wife Juanita.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel (219 E Partridge St, Metamora, IL 61548). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (415 W Chatham St, Metamora, IL 61548).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in honor of Bob to the OSF HealthCare Foundation, 124 SW Adams Street, Peoria, IL 61602.
