He was predeceased by: his parents, Blanco Franklin and Margaret Franklin (Schooley); his foster parents, Atto Paulsen and Elsie Paulsen; his son Dale Behymer; and his brothers, Steve, David, James and Bob Busker.
He is survived by: his wife Lillie P. Dishman of Metamora; his children, Teresa Kirkpatrick of Metamora, Diana Lutton (Doug Barrett) of Washington, IL and Richard L. Franklin (Bobbi) of Streator, IL; and his siblings, Tom Franklin (Ann) of Parker, CO, Parmalee Franklin of Peoria Heights, IL and Barbara Bell of Cape Coral, FL.. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
