Nellie K. Schertz Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nellie K. Schertz of Metamora, Illinois, who passed away on November 2, 2023 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Reeb and Katie Reeb (Kennel); her husband Donald D. Schertz; her grandson Joshua Schertz; and her siblings, John Reeb, Arthur Reeb and Verna Bachman.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Hamilton (Jimmy) of Tupelo, MS, Donald Schertz (Cindy) of Carrollton, VA, Ronald Schertz (Cheryl) of Cranston, RI and Richard Schertz (Carol) of Metamora; and her grandchildren, Brian Hamilton (Ronnie), Mike Hamilton (Ashley Henry), Matthew Schertz (Jen), Melissa Kayla (Scott), Jeff Schertz (Cassie), Sylvia Schertz and Kirsten Hany (Matt). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Snyder Village Residents in Need Fund, 1200 East Partridge Street, Metamora, IL 61548.
