She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Grebner and Josephine Grebner (Krumholz); her husband Clarence B. "Sonny" Mitzelfelt; her brothers, Bernard Grebner and Donald Grebner; and her siblings-in-law, Milton Scheirer and Helen Grebner.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Bani-Salman (Ra'ed) of Oak Lawn, IL, Christopher Mitzelfelt (Sherri) of Trivoli, IL and Curtis Mitzelfelt (Linda) of Winthrop Harbor, IL; her grandchildren, Joshua Mitzelfelt, Jordon Mitzelfelt, Josie Jepson (Jake), Andrew Mitzelfelt, Garrett Mitzelfelt, Sanad Bani-Salman and Layth Bani-Salman; and her siblings, Bernice Scheirer, Christine Gilles, Evelyn McCormack, Raymond Grebner and Eugene Grebner.
A rosary was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel (219 E Partridge St, Metamora, IL 61548). Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (415 W Chatham St, Metamora, IL 61548).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Mary's School, 400 West Chatham Street, Metamora, IL 61548 or to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 415 West Chatham Street, Metamora, IL 61548.
