With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mark R. Nicholson of Metamora, Illinois, born in Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on November 20, 2023 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Robert N. Nicholson; and his siblings, Dr. David Nicholson and Elizabeth Nicholson. He is survived by: his mother Lois I. Nicholson (Nielsen) of Metamora; his wife Lyla J. Kamp of Metamora; his children, Matthew Nicholson (Sarah) of Lowpoint, IL, Jacob Nicholson (Jenna) of Deer Creek, IL, Levi Nicholson (Blaine) of Metamora and Sierra Nicholson of Eau Claire, WI; his grandchildren, Miles, Rhett, Maren, Regan Nicholson, Kimber, Kaylee Nicholson and Finn Nicholson; and his sister Holly Harrington (Mitch) of Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 530 NE Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, IL 61637.
