With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marian L. Meinert of Metamora, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on July 13, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Griffin and Bethel Griffin (Rosa); her spouse Mel Meinert; and her siblings, Norma Jean Horrighs, Madeline Malloy, Helen Griffin, Wanda Ricca, George Griffin, Wesley Griffin, Robert Griffin and Eugene Bella.
She is survived by: her children, Dori McCormick (Larry) of Alexandria, VA, Danette Snopek of Metamora, IL and Mark Meinert (Debi) of Cape Coral, FL; her grandchildren, Jasmine McCormick (Whitney) of Atlanta, GA, Trevin McCormick of Alexandria, VA, Destiny McCormick of Alexandria, VA, Nathan Allen (Sara) of Metamora, IL and Brandon Snopek (Brenin) of Peoria, IL; her children, Lauren Dalfonso (J. D.) of Peoria, IL, Trenton Snopek (Dee) of Peoria, IL, Alison Meinert of Minneapolis, MN, Emily Meinert (C. J.) of Omaha, NE and Josh Meinert of Lima, OH; her great grandchildren, Berkley, Parker, Kensington Allen, Arianna, Adreane, Gavyn Snopek, Bentley Melloy, Joseph, Vincent and Melle Dalfonso; and her brother Francis Eugene Griffin of San Antonio, TX. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
