We bid farewell to Lynn Eugene Elbert of Metamora, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 6, 2025 at the age of 84. Lynn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Elbert and Gertrude Elbert (Eichhorn); his wife Sharon Lee Hill; and his siblings, Rosemary, Bernice, Roberta, Roland, Marvin, Howard and Joan.
He is survived by: his children, Troy David Elbert (Carol) of Bloomington, IL, Andrew John Elbert (Martina) of Heinsberg and Stephanie Louise Elbert Hardy of Palatine, IL.; his grandchildren, Jessica Biehl (Eric), Troy Elbert II, Parker Elbert, Emerson Elbert, Aaron Hardy and Meredith Hardy; his great grandchildren, Elijah Biehl and Eleanor Biehl; his siblings, Doris Forney and Allen Elbert (Sarah); and his brother-in-law David Hill (Nanci).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (415 W Chatham St, Metamora, IL 61548). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
