With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Alvin Wells of Metamora, Illinois, born in Hamletsburg, Illinois, who passed away on October 7, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertrand P. Wells and Edith M. Wells (Lillie); his stepfather James Pylant; his son-in-law Jeffrey Callaway; his sisters, Donna Pauli and Doris Jorgenson; and his brother-in-law James Jorgenson.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Noack of Metamora; his children, Michael Wells of Chandler, AZ and Michele Callaway (late Jeffrey) of Germantown Hills; his granddaughters, Megan Weekley (James), Caitlin Cleary (Lee) and Kirsten Callaway; his great grandchildren, Lillie Weekley, Henry Joe Weekley and Quinn Cleary; his sister Sheila Kilpatrick (Boyd) of Bartonville, IL; and his brother-in-law Richard Pauli. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital Midwest Affiliate, 530 NE Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, IL 61637.
