James Anthony Stickelmaier Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 21, 2025, at the age of 86, James Anthony Stickelmaier of Metamora, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Stickelmaier and Roberta Stickelmaier; his wife Karen Gore; his daughter Lynda Stickelmaier; his stepson Eric Gore; and his brother Donald Stickelmaier.
He is survived by: his former spouse Edeltraut "Ede" Ilgaudas; his daughters, Connie Barber (Steve) of Glen Mills, PA and Renee Greer (Steve) of Germantown Hills, IL; his stepdaughter April Wilson (Jeff) of Medford, OR; and his sister Judi Erxleben of Pekin, IL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel (219 E Partridge St, Metamora, IL 61548). Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (415 W Chatham St, Metamora, IL 61548).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Illinois Cancer Care, 8940 North Wood Sage Road, Peoria, IL 61615 or to OSF Cardiovascular Institute, 5405 North Knoxville Avenue, Peoria, IL 61614.
