He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Trotter and Marie Trotter (Alexander); his wife Josephine "Josie" Alig; and his brothers, Kenneth and Jack.

He is survived by: his children, Suzette Boyd (Charles) of Jasper, AL and Jason Trotter (Tiffany) of Cincinnati, OH.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association Central Illinois Chapter, 614 West Glen Avenue, Peoria, IL 61614.
