She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward and Mildred Frances Peak King; her sons, James Everett Dunaway and David Wayne Dunaway; her grandson Robert Schwalb; and her sisters, Charity Campbell and Lucy Roberts.

She is survived by: her children, Vernon Dunaway Jr. (Peggy) of East Peoria, Tina Taylor (Joe) of Bluffs, Jeannie Freesen (David) of Meredosia and Tom Dunaway of Hannibal, MO; her grandchildren, Samantha, Dayle, Sam, Jordan, Aaron, Logan (Alissa), Hannah and Rowan (Donna); her great grandchildren, Audrey, Jameson, Kevin and Karen; and her siblings, Betty Bentley of Springfield and Robert King (Judy) of Salem, AL..
