He was predeceased by: his parents, Oda Dawson and Vera Workman Dawson; and his siblings, Norma Jockisch, Bobby Dawson, Roger Dawson and Jimmy Dawson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Jackson; his children, Johnny Dawson of Meredosia, Ricky Dawson of Monroe, LA and Lori Windell (Rob) of Meredosia; and his grandsons, Shane Dawson, Nick Dawson, Gabe Dawson and Dakota Dawson.
