He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Buss and Alice Howard Buss; his wife Colleen Woods; his son Brent Buss; his daughter-in-law Joni Buss; his great grandchildren, Anthony Buss Sanders and Rylen Sherman; and his sisters, Jean Carpenter, Barbara Langan, Jeanette Flynn and Dolores Sides.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Buss of Mt. Sterling, John C. Buss of Beardstown, Angela Sherman (Brian Hamm) of Old Monroe, Todd Buss (Lorri) of Elburn and Brian Buss of Meredosia; and his sister MaryAnne Yeakel (John). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren.
