He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Friestad and Minnie Eckhardt Friestad; his wife Barbara JoAnn Holly; his children, Richard Friestad of Meredoisa, Roger Friestad (Kim) of Beardstown, Sherry Surratt (Rusty) of Meredosia and Tammy Ham (Gary) of Meredosia; his siblings, Mary Bisbee (Harlan) of Iowa, James Friestad of Rochelle and Judy; and his sister-in-law Donna Friestad. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
