It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Sue Barfield Mefford of Meredosia, Illinois, who passed away on August 30, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Barfield and Maimie Dunmire Barfield; her husband Walter Mefford; and her siblings, Jimmy Barfield and Betty June Barfield.
She is survived by: her former husband Gary Anderson; her children, Kimberly Friestad (Roger) of Beardstown and Gary Wayne Anderson, Jr. of Des Moines, IA; her granddaughter Janet Gregory of Virginia; her great grandchild Liam; and her siblings, Cletus Barfield of Mt. Sterling, Velma Heckrodt of Mt. Sterling, Lucille Jockisch of Meredosia, Helen Bunch of Godfrey and Dorothy Wilson of Monticello, MO. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
