He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Kerns and Peg Kerns (Fitzgerald); his sister Anna Salokar; and his great grandchild Monica Sanchez. He is survived by: his wife Judy of Mendota; his daughters, Julie Friend and Marci Burnett; his grandchildren, Emily Sanchez and Athea Friend (William Gallup); his great grandchildren, Lily Grace Weathers and Eliza Gallup; and his siblings, Michael Kerns (Sandy) of Wisconsin, Margaret Kerns of California and Richard Kerns of Nebraska. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
