It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Simmons of Mendota, Illinois, born in Aurora, Illinois, who passed away on October 17, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Evar Thryselius and Amelia Thryselius (Plunge); her brother Richard Thyrselius; and her parents-in-law, Wayne and Beth Simmons.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Lee Simmons; her children, Mary Ann Collie, Alisa Stewart (Jeb), Linda Sala (John), Douglass Hansford and Carl Hansford; her stepsons, Joe Simmons (Kris) and Erik Simmons (Stacey); and her siblings, Jim Thryselius (Judie) and Karen Thryselius. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
