He was predeceased by: his parents, Tomas Sanchez and Juana Tovar Sanchez (Sandoval Caballero); his close friend Kelly Courtney; and his brother Luis Alberto Tovar. He is survived by: his stepsons, Anthony Arteaga (Liliana) of Florida, David Arteaga (Yesenia) of Bolingbrook, Sean Arteaga (Stephanie) of Mendota and Ross Arteaga of Chicago; his siblings, Jaime Tovar of El Paso, Juan Manuel Tovar of Atlanta and Marytona Tovar of El Paso; and his son Max. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and his dog.
