He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sondgeroth and Katherine Sondgeroth (Walzer); his wife Mary Kathryn Schultz; his son Kevin; his granddaughter Katie Sondgeroth; his siblings, Lester Sondgeroth, Gene Sondgeroth, Bernice Corrigan, Rita Miller and Pearl Blair; and his stepfather William Haub.
He is survived by: his children, John Sondgeroth (Patricia) of Mendota, Susan Spanier (Jeffrey) of Mendota and Rosemary Cashner of Chicago; and his brothers, Clifford Sondgeroth (Geraldine) of Mendota and David Sondgeroth (JoAnne) of Mendota. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
