We are sad to announce that on October 23, 2022, at the age of 79, Patricia Peterson (Mendota, Illinois), born in Princeton, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elburn Swanlund and Darlene Swanlund (Raker); and her brother Richard Lee Swanlund. She is survived by: her husband Joe Peterson of LaMoille; her children, Stephanie DeMay (Jeffrey) of Geneseo, Stephen Peterson (Amy) of Princeton and Amanda Varland (Mark) of Marseilles; her grandchildren, Brandon Cartwright (Amelia) of Walnut, Chase Cartwright (Sarah) of Wauwatosa, WI, Allison Peterson (Cody Dillin) of Rantoul, Erin Krafft (Christian) of Princeton, Andrew Varland of Richmond Hill, GA, Rebekah of Marseilles, Kathryn of Marseilles and Matthew Varland of Marseilles; her great grandchildren, Axel Cartwright of Walnut, Jayden, Jordyn Anderson of Princeton and Andrew Krafft; her sister Mary Woodley of Princeton; and her brother-in-law Leo Peterson of Dixon. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria, Zion Evangelical Lutheran (Clarion) Church, LaMoille or a charity of the donor's choosing.
