He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Elston; his wife Christine Ryan; his siblings, Paul and Ruth; and his sister-in-law Sarah Elston.
He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Elston (Spanier) of Mendota; his children, Amanda Mirus (Joseph) of Chicago, Aaron Elston of Mendota and Jeremy Elston (Bethany) of Chicago; his daughter-in-law Heather of Mendota; his siblings, John Elston (Christine) of Mendota, Neil Elston (Sylvia) of Mendota, Mary Russell (Alan) and Anne Caylor (Phillip); his sister-in-law Elizabeth Tucker (Randy) of Mendota; and his grandchildren, Lainie, Mallary, Emma, Gavin, Ezekiel, Rose Elston, Jonathan and Leah Mirus. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieuof flowers, memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and Mendota Area Senior Services (MASS).
