She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Haefner and Freida Haefner (Zimmerman); her parents-in-law, Charles and Ethel Schammel (Kleckner); and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Prewitt (Schammel) and Delbert Weber.
She is survived by: her husband Howard Schammel; her daughters, Becky Schammel of Rockford and Colleen Bickett (Mark) of Princeton; her grandson Josh Bickett (Abby Sheets) of Chicago; and her siblings-in-law, Sue Brown (Dave) of Sandwich, Eileen Weber of Sandwich, Douglas Schammel (Karen) of Sublette and Alan Schammel (Sandy) of Compton.
Masks and social distancing are required due to Covid restrictions.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LaMoille-Clarion Public Library, Graves-Hume Public Library, Mendota and the Zion Lutheran Church of Clarion cemetery fund for upkeep of the cemetery.
