She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carey and Mattie Carey; her sister Anna "Adtline" Millering; and her half-brother David "Lynn" Schlansker. She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Johnson (William) of Lawton and Alan Russell (Mary) of Mendota; her grandsons, Matthew J. Russell (Laura) of Mendota and Patrick J. Johnson (Kendra) of Chicago; and her great grandchildren, Brianna, Brooklyn Russell of Mendota and Josephine Johnson of Chicago. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
