It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Luis Castaneda (Mendota, Illinois), who passed away on February 15, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dionecio Castaneda and Solada Castaneda (Arteaga); his children, Jovita Castaneda, Florina Castaneda and Doroteo Castaneda; his granddaughter Florina Arteaga; and his siblings, Ausencio Castaneda, Elodia Castaneda, Librada Castaneda and Consuelo Castaneda.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Auxillo of Mendota; and his children, Francisco Castaneda (Margarita) of Mendota, Juan Antonio Castaneda (Eva) of Mendota, Margarito (Candida) of Mendota, Salvador Castaneda (Maria P.) of Franklin Park, Josefina Arteaga (Ignacio) of Monmouth and Rosy Arteaga (Jose Martin) of Monmouth. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren.
Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
