He was predeceased by: his parents, Panfilo Escatel and Maria Escatel (Cruz Castaneda). He is survived by: his wife Guadalupe Salinas of Mendota. He is also survived by 4 sons, 4 daughters, 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 1 sister.
