It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Silfies (Mendota, Illinois), born in Princeton, Illinois, who passed away on September 1, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Steele and Gladys Steele (Gustafson); and her brothers, Donald Steele and Norm Steele. She is survived by: her husband Harry "Bud" Silfies; her daughters, Syndi Peck (Joel) of Quincy and Becki Silfies of Aurora; her grandchildren, Meghan Buckley (Dave) of Quincy, Andrew Parks of Ruston, LA. and Mandi Silfies of Aurora; her great grandchildren, Maddi Silfies and Hayley Buckley; and her brother Richard Steele (Shirley) of Princeton.
