He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Tod and Edith Edna Sloan (Becket); his former wife Nancy Kratz; his brothers, Roland Sloan and Ralph Sloan; and his granddaughter Candice.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Knowlton Inness of Mendota; and his sons, Jeff Sloan (Julie) of Peru, Larry Sloan (Wendy) of Grand Forks and Steve Sloan (Sara) of Marathon, Florida. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
