It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Joyce Burright (Mendota, Illinois), who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry A. Dierwechter and Helen Dierwechter (Stewart); her son John; her daughters-in-law, Linda Burright and Lucy Burright; and her brother Henry Stewart Dierwechter.
She is survived by: her children, James of Rockford, IL, Peggy Etheridge (Bob) of Peru, IL and Mary Stoskopf (Mark) of Wilton, IA; her daughter-in-law Rhonda Burright of Rockford, IL; her great grandchildren, Allison MacMurchy (Charles), Amber Bollman (Todd), Jenilyn (Brian), Roether (Reuben), Sarah (Brandon), Devore (Kendra), Will (Jenn), Etheridge, Emily (John), Noss (Ada), Brian Stoskopf, Jessica Burright and Joshua Burright; her stepgrandchildren, Jeffrey Manning and Julie Manning-Glovier (Lee); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Breanna Manning, Samantha Parr, Colton Parr and Jayden Hale; her cousin Herschel Stewart; and her sister-in-law Nancy Burright. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (1003 5th St, Mendota, IL 61342). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to Mendota Area Senior Services (MASS) or a charity of your choice.
