He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sterchi and Lucille Sterchi (Buck); his brother Keith Sterchi (Donna); his son-in-law Rick Bauer; his nieces, Renee Barzititus, Dr. Kathleen Senica Farris and Peggy Schultz; his sisters, Dorothy (John Senica, Sr.), Betty (Sam Torchia) and Donna Kain; and his stepgrandson Tim Walzer.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sitar; his children, Dawn Ann Bauer of LaMoille, Lisa Avery (Tim Engels) of Mendota, Steven Sterchi (Ruth Ann) of Mendota and Donald "Sonny" Sterchi, Jr. (Karen) of Mendota; his grandchildren, Matthew Bauer (Mandi) of Mendota, Jonathan Bauer (Lauren) of Yorkville, Scott Sterchi (Jeni) of Serena and Emily Korsan (Eric) of Oglesby; his stepgrandsons, Danny Walzer (Tania), Andy Walzer and Brian Walzer; his great grandchildren, Landon, Paxton, Gabrielle, Madilyn, Olivia, Allie, Sydnee, Shelby, Jack, Leona and Sloane; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Collin, Chloe, Carson, Ella, Anna and Reid Walzer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
