He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Wittler and Mary Wittler (Tweedell); and his siblings, Edwin, Virgil, Eugene Wittler and Dorothy Sapp.

He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Stotler; his sons, Larry Wittler of Mendon, Roger Wittler (Melinda) of Mendon and Ronnie Wittler (Michelle) of Mendon; his grandchildren, Kaylee Wittler (Sean), Zach Creasey, Abbie Frese, Blake Wittler, Landon Wittler, Margaret Adams, Lucas Adams, Elizabeth Adams and Samantha Adams; his great grandchildren, Karson and Axle; and his brother Melvin "Mugs" Wittler of Quincy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Quincy Humane Society.
