He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Emery and Gladys Emery (Littleton); his wife Betty M. Poulter; and his daughter Sherry Emery. He is survived by: his former spouse Ladema June Hodgson; his son Gary Emery (Cheri) of Quincy; his stepsons, David Sheurman of East Peoria and Don Sheurman (Linda) of Liberty; and his brothers, Ronnie Emery (Debrah) of Michigan, Donnie Emery (Beverly) of Quincy and Jim Emery (Jean) of Peoria. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions have been suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
