She is survived by: her husband Melvin L. Anderson, Sr.; her children, Towanda Bryant (Darrell), Beverly Shavon Allen (Ezra), Melvin Anderson, Jr., Jamel Anderson, Sr., Jayla Coleman (Thaddeus), Tuntra Mathews (Presse), Peggy Reed and Frederick Bullock; her brothers, Jerry Jelks (Ora Lee), Milan Jelks (Debra) and Thurman Jelks; and her aunts, Lettie Mae Allen, Betty Jelks and Ardelia Jelks. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, along with a host of great grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, her church family, and friends.
