He was predeceased by: his parents, Alpha Jewell (Corn) and Sidney Lawson Allen; his siblings, Geraldine Kelly (Wilbur), Dorcas Diskin and Donald Allen; and his siblings-in-law, David Shelton, Randall Shelton, Roger Netherton and Cathy Jo Netherton.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Louis Shelton; his siblings, Gary Allen (Mary) of Paxton, Bill Carlton (Sonia) of Dayton, Randy Allen (Janet) of Kentucky, Sandy Latham (Nick) of Kentucky, Laura Hunter (Steve) of Rantoul and Sherrill Lindsay of Gibson City; and his siblings-in-law, Peggy Buhl of Gibson City, Patsy McCormick of Missouri, Peggy Netherton of Herscher, Rachel Shelton, Shirley Shelton of West Virginia, Evelyn Allen of Melvin and Ray Diskin of Paxton.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Baier Family Funeral Services (406 E Pells St, Paxton, IL 60957). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Roberts-Melvin Fire Department.
