She was predeceased by: her mother Ina Mary Thompson (Smith); her husband LeRoy Lane; her father Louis Erwin Thompson; her stepfather Lumie Scoggins; her children, Guadalupe Pannell and Angela Pannell; and her sister Rita Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa Cullum of Jerseyville and Robert Pannell of Florida; her stepson Jason Scoggins of Jerseyville; her sister-in-law Shirley Thompson of Jerseyville; her nephew Louis Thompson (Trisha); and her niece Tammy Taylor (Jimmy). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
After settling back in Illinois, her volunteer efforts continued in other areas, dedicating many hours as a volunteer with the Jersey Community Hospital Foundation Resale Shop.
