He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer C. Sexton and Eva Sexton (Skinner); his wife Dorothy I. Smith; and his siblings, Forrest W. "Mike" Sexton, Homer C. Sexton, Jr., V. Lorraine Sexton and A. Jean Colin.
He is survived by: his children, Glen Sexton (Sally) and Gitana Fishburn (Todd); his grandchildren, Natalie, Elizabeth Sexton, Lathe (Ashley), Brock (Megan) and Grace Fishburn; his great grandchildren, Adalynn, Conrad and Benjamin Fishburn; and his brother-in-law Darrell Smith (Delores). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
