With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma Lee Lane of McLeansboro, Illinois, born in Centralia, Illinois, who passed away on March 27, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Periman and Daphna Periman (Dunbar). She is survived by: her children, Stacey Meyer (David) of Coulterville, IL, Denita Jo Schilli (Dan) of Bloomsdale, MO, Gena Rae Lane of Mcleansboro, IL and Scott Lane (Laurie) of Dutton, AL; her grandchildren, Josh Lane (Stacey Fuller), Christen Dwyer (Andrew), Marshall Lane (Ashley Doza), Devin Schilli (Kim Moore), Darissa Rozenzweig (Josh), Justin Carron (Jess Zander) and Karley Henderson (Joseph); and her great grandchildren, Madison, Jackson, Cierra, Cayden, Chasten, Henry, Addie, Nora, Connor and Kylee.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Velma's memory to the Special Olympics or to the NCOE Alumni Scholarship Fund and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City, who is in charge of the arrangements.
