With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Troy Pate of McLeansboro, Illinois, born in Carmi, Illinois, who passed away on August 30, 2021 at the age of 74. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Troy Pate to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Pate and Mildred Pate (Hurst); his stepfather Glenn Whitley; his grandparents, George, Anna Tucker (Hurst), Robert and Vera Etherton (Pate); and his siblings, George Edward Pate, Stephen Pate and Vera Nash.
He is survived by: his wife Milly Pate (Tompkins) of Norris City, IL.; and his siblings-in-law, George Tompkins (Kay) of Medora, IL, Frank Tompkins (Joyce) of Champaign, IL, Moe Capen of Arizona, Bill Hobgood of Oklahoma and Linda Pate Stocke of Carmi, IL.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Contributions can be made in Troy's memory to the Norris City Memorial Library District and the Lions of Illinois Foundation and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City, who is in charge of arrangements.
